We’re looking for a MEA Senior Finance Manager to join our expanding team in Dubai, UAE!
If you’ve got Financial Services experience dealing with Financial Resources Process & Controls, Audit and Advisory, and working with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally, and an interest in working at one of the fastest growing FinTech companies, read on!
Reporting to: LATAM & MEA Finance Lead
Key partners: Regional Finance team, Group Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Compliance/Risk, Product, Banking/Ops, Data/Analytics.
What you’ll do:
Accounting, Close & Controls (Controllership):
Ensure financial compliance: review monthly and quarterly financials to guarantee accuracy of your entities.
Own the integrity of the general ledger - ensuring we comply with local accounting and tax requirements.
Have strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements, such as for capital, inter-company transactions, transfer pricing agreements and management of financial risks.
Design, operate, and continuously improve key financial controls with strong evidence standards and repeatable processes; lead remediation for any control/audit findings.
Take the role of the Chief Financial Officer for Wise Fintech Network LLC in UAE. This includes reporting to the local Board and building a deep understanding of our liquidity management and safeguarding process in the region.
Regulatory Reporting & Audit:
Serve as the primary accounting/finance contact for regulators, external auditors, and internal audit.
Lead the annual statutory audit for the entities, including audit planning, PBC coordination, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
Prepare and review statutory financial statements and supporting schedules; ensure consistency with underlying books and agreed accounting policies.
Lead initial setup and ongoing management of periodic regulatory reporting: planning, data collection, validation, preparation, and submission with a high bar for accuracy and integrity.
Supporting expansion and business growth in the MEA region:
Be the Regional Expansion, Banking, Compliance, Product, & People Team’s main point of contact in finance to ensure that all new entities, products, legislation, etc. are understood and finance is prepared for all changes, ensuring that the customer product is understood and optimised for growth.
Work with finance teams (Finance Product team and Group Accounting) to ensure systems, controls, and processes are prepared for regional requirements, with clear definitions and change management.
Work with global FP&A and analytical teams to build budgeting and forecasting for the region.
Partner with Product, Banking, Ops, and Compliance to connect operational drivers to financial outcomes (unit economics, cost-to-serve, efficiency metrics, and investment trade-offs).
You're an experienced finance professional with a background in financial controlling, audit, advisory, or management accounting, within Banking, FinTech, or financial services.
You have a deep understanding of UAE financial reporting standards and IFRS, coupled with expertise in financial resources controls and industry-specific regulatory rules.
You're skilled at data analysis, improving controls and internal processes, and managing complex stakeholder groups (like the Board, Auditors, Advisors, and Government Authorities).
As a finance business partner, you provide commercial insights, support decisions, and align with business strategy.
You thrive in a flexible environment, working with various teams on projects and ad-hoc requests.
You're a self-starter, detail-oriented, and comfortable with uncertainty, able to organise your work with minimal guidance.
You'll take ownership of being the CFO for Wise UAE, ensuring compliance as per the regulatory requirements established by the Central Bank of UAE.
This is a hybrid role based in Dubai, UAE.
Salary band: 40,500 - 52,500 AED Monthly

Skills Required
- Experience in financial controlling, audit, advisory, or management accounting within Banking, FinTech, or financial services.
- Deep understanding of UAE financial reporting standards and IFRS.
- Expertise in financial resources controls, regulatory requirements (capital, inter-company, transfer pricing), and managing financial risks.
- Proven experience leading statutory audits, audit planning, PBC coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Skilled in data analysis, improving controls and internal processes, and building repeatable control frameworks.
- Experience partnering with Product, Banking, Ops, Compliance, and FP&A to translate operational drivers into financial outcomes.
- Ability to act as local CFO (report to local Board) and ensure compliance with Central Bank of UAE requirements; hybrid presence in Dubai.
