Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Sr. Finance Manager to lead our Finance and Controlling team at our New Richmond manufacturing facility. This role combines compliance requirements with strategic financial planning and analysis responsibilities.
The Sr. Finance Manager is responsible for the overall finance and controlling functions and for ensuring the site’s financial health and compliance. This role is a member of the New Richmond Leadership Team and acts as a trusted partner to operations and corporate leadership, delivering financial insights that support growth, profitability, and operational decision-making.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills with significant experience managing project finance, manufacturing cost accounting, and financial planning, combined with a results-oriented mindset. This candidate will help strengthen financial governance, elevate financial planning, and deliver actionable insights to both Finance and Operations leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the site Finance & Controlling team through hiring, training, development, and performance management; oversee all accounting, reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data across revenue recognition, COGS, SG&A, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory; validate and analyze all key financial metrics.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and business planning; coordinate site budget creation, prepare rolling forecasts, analyze actuals versus plan, and present insights to site and corporate leadership.
- Manage project controlling and provide financial and commercial guidance to Operations; steer project profitability and report on financial performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize working capital (inventory, receivables, payables); monitor production variances and collaborate with Operations on financial improvements.
- Ensure compliance with controlling policies, IFRS, and applicable U.S. tax laws; manage interactions with internal and external auditors and financial institutions.
- Lead finance digitalization and automation initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and financial transparency.
- Act as liaison to Corporate Headquarters (Germany) and Americas region leadership; support corporate reporting requirements and serve as accountability partner on commercial terms and contracts.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience and 10 years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment, including use of ERP systems.
- Minimum of 2 years leading a department.
- Solid understanding of cost accounting, including manufacturing KPIs, cost drivers, and operational performance metrics.
- Strong experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience working with SAP and Financial Consolidation tools.
- Prior experience in project business in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to automation or finance digitalization initiatives.
- High level of urgency and results-driven orientation.
Additional requirements
- Ability to travel domestic and international, approximately 5% of the time.
- Sitting at a desk for long periods of time.
- Working on computers all day.
Compensation for this role starts at $130,000.
