Role & Responsibilities
The Senior Finance Manager, People Team, will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the People Team by overseeing budgeting and forecasting cycles, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and leading a team to ensure accurate financial reporting and strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong leader with expertise in FP&A and financial analysis, as they will have direct oversight of the HR Finance and administration team.
- Drive the budgeting and forecasting cycles for all HR cost centers, providing accurate and timely insights for decision-making, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, and disciplined budget management.
- Lead the HR Finance & Administration team to drive financial excellence and support organizational goals across our various COEs.
- Provide business impact and risk analyses to guide decision-making on high-impact HR investments.
- Ensure financial accuracy, internal controls, and compliance with global HQ and U.S. regulatory requirements.
- Improve processes around purchase orders, accruals, and invoice approvals in partnership with HR Operations and Finance Shared Services.
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and optimize financial performance.
- Manage the administrative processes, such as contracts and document management for all COEs within the People Team
- Work with HR Finance Partner to manage vendors by providing line of sight to risks, issues, track key deliverables metrics, contractual obligations and other action items
- Oversee intercompany transactions: sub-lease calculation, sub-lease agreement, and chargeback by headcount
- Manage and work with the HR Finance Partner to investigate, review, and validate discrepancies on invoices versus contracts/pre-approvals. Resolve aging invoices by communicating with AP, Finance, and the Vendor.
Responsible for HR stakeholders, Finance, AP, Procurement, Legal, etc. to ensure vendor compliance is aligned with SEA policy and mitigate risks/issues raised by COE through effective vendor management practices
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of finance experience, focusing on FP&A and financial analysis.
- Proven experience in team management and leadership.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience in the technology or consumer electronics industry.
- Advanced knowledge of FP&A best practices and financial modeling techniques.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
