Position Overview

As a Senior Finance Manager, Customer Success Management, you will play a critical role in supporting this mission by partnering with Customer Success leaders to drive sustainable, customer-centric growth across Autodesk’s Enterprise and Subscription business. You will report to the Finance Director for Customer Success Finance organization and will be the main business partner for the Vice President, Customer Succes Management.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and customer outcomes. You will help shape financial strategy for post-sales motions including token consumption, usage, offering renewals and expansion, while enabling data-driven decisions that improve customer value, efficiency, and long-term ARR growth.

Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Act as the primary finance partner to the Customer Success Management VP and leadership team, providing trusted financial guidance and strategic insight

  • Support Autodesk’s shift toward customer lifecycle value by aligning financial plans with customer success, retention, and adoption strategies

  • Influence investment decisions that improve customer outcomes while balancing growth, efficiency, and margin objectives

Financial Planning, Forecasting & Modeling

  • Lead annual planning, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning for the Customer Success organization

  • Own and analyze key SaaS metrics such as gross and net retention, churn, renewals, expansion, cost-to-serve, token consumption, usage and value delivery

  • Partner with Customer Success Leadership to establish annual token consumption and customer usage targets, ensuring alignment with customer value realization, adoption goals, and Autodesk’s consumption-based business models

  • Develop financial models to evaluate customer offerings, operating and capacity models, and the impact of any go-to-market changes

Performance Insights & Storytelling

  • Deliver clear, executive-ready insights that connect financial performance to customer outcomes and strategic priorities

  • Analyze variances, trends, and risks, and proactively recommend actions to leadership

  • Partner closely with WW Sales Finance and RevOps as needed to ensure alignment across the customer lifecycle

Operational Excellence & Scale

  • Drive simplification, automation, and standardization of financial processes and reporting

  • Ensure strong financial governance, accuracy, and compliance across Customer Success financials

  • Support transformation initiatives, new business models, and potential M&A integration impacting Customer Success

Leadership & Culture

  • Mentor and develop finance team members

  • Model Autodesk values by operating with integrity, curiosity, and a collaborative, inclusive mindset

  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships built on trust and accountability

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Finance, including FP&A and senior business partnering roles

  • Strong understanding of subscription and SaaS business models

  • Experience supporting Customer Success, Services, or post-sales organizations

  • Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders​

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, or CFA

  • Experience in a global, matrixed, enterprise technology company

  • Familiarity with planning and analytics tools such as Anaplan, Adaptive and Power BI

  • Proven track record of driving changes in fast-evolving or transformative environments

  • SQL and Sigma experience a plus

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $119,000 and $173,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
