What will you do?
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused finance leader to join the Customer Channels Group as a Senior Finance Manager. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role leads a team of finance analysts supporting the Commercial organization in executing contracts and strengthening customer relationships.
You will collaborate within a broader finance network, partnering cross-functionally to deliver insights, solve complex business challenges, and drive profitable growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead activities related to the profitability assessment of business proposals, including providing financial oversight as well as gaining organizational alignment
- Oversee the full lifecycle of customer contracts, including implementation, compliance, and annual pricing updates
- Support planning and forecasting processes, including financial modeling and performance analysis
- Deliver actionable insights through ad hoc analysis and strategic finance projects
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing and diverse finance team aligned with Thermo Fisher’s culture and values
- Provide financial control, analysis, and decision support for the Industrial segment
- Partner with senior leadership to influence business decisions through clear, data-driven communication

Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Advanced degree or certification preferred (MBA, MS, CPA)
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience
- Prior experience in a large global and highly matrixed organization preferred
- Demonstrated business partnership and ability to provide strategic support to senior business leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret, challenge, and communicate complex financial data in support of business decisions

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial systems and tools preferred
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to translate data into clear, compelling insights
- Solid understanding of business operations, financial controls, and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Practical Process Improvement)
- Ability to identify control gaps and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical thinking, including the ability to interpret trends, benchmark performance, and draw insights from ambiguous data
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to summarize and present information in a concise and effective manner tailored toward different audiences
