This individual will support implementing processes and procedures to develop and maintain a “best-in-class" planning and analysis organization while continuing to increase effectiveness and streamline processes. They must be an effective team player, able to work well across the business. They will partner with the business teams and D&S Income/Strategy leader to seek opportunities to enhance the linkage between strategic and financial plans, develop tools to improve the overall FP&A function, leverage technology, advance analytics, AI, and drive efficiencies. Roles and Responsibilities
- Own income statement related activities for the Defense business, including margin analysis, price, profitability, orders, standard DRs, closing, and reporting
- Support the strategy leader in driving connection between operational and financial performance across the D&S business, including synthesizing information for total business reviews (MORs, Wraps, BoD, external IR content support)
- Lead income statement activities for the long-term Defense & Systems financial strategy processes
- Improve forecast linkage to external government funding, emerging business investments and initiatives, and government budget updates
- Manage Defense financial construct model, including translation of OOT to Financial Construct as well as target alignment actions
- Own and implement “best in class” standard work for all income statement reporting and planning processes used to project, forecast, and analyze the business.
- Advance the leverage of technology and AI to find a “better way” to achieve FP&A and finance processes; also ensure that finance technology is fully optimized.
- Role-modeling critical thinking and creative problem solving to anticipate business trends/events, understand root causes, develop true business insights, and drive forward- looking decision making.
- Work relentlessly to reduce forecast lead time, establish more visibility into data, and elevate the business systems.
- Improve flow of process through forecasting, closing, and reporting cycles through development and continuous improvement of standard work
- Partner across D&S Businesses to build process rigor and improvements, ultimately scaling use of AI and analytics to reduce non-value added efforts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 5+ years of relevant finance experience
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

The base pay range for this position is $160,000-$210,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary.
