The Role:

The Senior Finance Data Analyst is a senior member of CPI’s Finance team and leads advanced analytics, reporting, and modeling efforts tied exclusively to Finance priorities. This role partners with senior Finance leaders to define analytical requirements, establish financial metrics, and deliver insights that shape planning, performance, and decision making. As a lead within CPI’s evolving data community, the senior analyst mentors others, drives analytical best practices, leads Finance’s most complex data and reporting initiatives and collaborates with the data platform team.

What You Get To Do Everyday:

  • Lead end‑to‑end development of financial dashboards, models, and automated reporting solutions
  • Develop reports and dashboards in Power BI and Excel that accurately reflect financial concepts such as variance, forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis
  • Build and maintain dashboards and metrics that support financial planning cycles (budget, forecast, month‑end close).
  • Identify data quality issues that impact financial accuracy, such as mis‑posted entries, timing differences, or inconsistent account mappings.
  • Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues. A natural curiosity about reported data is critical.
  • Create documentation for newly generated reports and update existing documentation for planned enhancements.
  • Promote work-stream visibility by collaborating with team members.
  • Utilize repositories to track versioned report enhancements.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, information science, data science, information technology, information systems, mathematics, or a related field
  • Five years or more of experience analyzing data from various sources and formats, and applying data insights to cleanse and transform data into a standardized format
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI, DAX, and complex financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of FP&A, month‑end close, and financial statement structures.
  • Experience mentoring analysts or serving as a technical go‑to for BI tools.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and apply that knowledge in analytics work.
  • Experience working with Scrum and Agile frameworks
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and lead analytical workstreams with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate across Finance, and guide others within the team.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for high‑impact deliverables and decision‑critical outputs.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, especially for complex or ambiguous financial data challenges.
  • Exceptional attention to detail paired with the ability to validate, challenge, and refine financial insights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting insights to senior Finance leadership.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and influence skills, with the ability to mentor analysts and elevate Finance’s analytical capabilities.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Framework including Power Automate
  • Experience working with Cloud Data platforms and concepts including Azure and Snowflake
  • Professional certifications such as SnowPro Core, Microsoft PL-300, etc
