Mennonite Mission Network is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Finance Assistant to support our payroll and accounting work.
In this role, you’ll manage staff payroll and assist with international payroll, including reporting, compliance and resolving discrepancies. You’ll also prepare journal entries and reconciliations, process financial transactions, administer corporate credit cards and help prepare for annual audits. You’ll work with staff across the organization and handle confidential information with care.
QualificationsWhat we’re looking for:
- Experience processing payroll and working with federal and multi-state payroll requirements
- A working knowledge of accrual accounting and experience with journal entries, accounts payable, deposits or similar transactions
- Experience with payroll and accounting systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage recurring deadlines
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work with staff across departments and locations
- An associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred
- Experience with international payroll, multiple payroll schedules and advanced Excel skills is a plus

Location: Newton, Kansas, or Elkhart, Indiana; hybrid or in-office
Pay: $21.63–$26.44 per hour (approximately $45,000–$55,000 annually based on a 40-hour workweek).
