As Senior Financial Accountant/Analyst, you will play a key role within the finance department, combining hands-on accounting responsibilities with financial controlling and reporting duties. You will work closely with the Site Finance Leader, supporting financial transparency, regulatory compliance, and driving improvements.
Job summary: Responsible for the preparation of complex and interpretive financial analyses and reports. Supports the annual budget process, expense and/or staffing forecasts and statistical reporting.
ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Statutory Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with BE GAAP
- Manage general ledger, accruals, provisions, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare statutory accounts and regulatory filings for Belgian entity.
- Assist in preparing annual reports, management reports, and financial sections of investor communications.
- Ensure compliance with financial disclosure and governance requirements.
Financial Controlling & Performance Management
- Prepare and analyze management reporting, including P&L, balance sheet analysis.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights and KPIs to management to support strategic decisions.
- Assist in business cases, capex analysis, and profitability assessments.
Audit, Tax & Compliance
- Act as primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
- Prepare audit documentation and support audit processes (statutory and consolidated).
- Ensure compliance with Belgian tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax, withholding taxes).
- Maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Improve finance processes, controls, and reporting workflows.
- Maintain and optimize ERP and reporting tools (e.g., Oracle).
- Document procedures and contribute to finance transformation initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with the Site Finance Leader, and business units.
- Provide financial support to operational teams and senior leadership.
- Mentor external accounting providers.
Summary of key responsibilities:

- Prepares analyses, reports, and special studies for management.
- Business partners with organizational unit(s) to develop annual budgets, expense and staffing forecasts, and statistical reporting.
- Prepares and consolidates financial data statistical reporting, including financial performance, variance explanations, and cost analysis.
- Coaches or leads less-experienced Financial Analysts.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance.
- Good knowledge of BE GAAP and Belgian tax regulations.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP and BI tools is a plus.
- Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is an asset.
