ResQ is looking for a Sr. Finance Analyst to join our finance team and help us take ResQ to the next level. Reporting into our Senior Finance Manager, this individual will step into a muli-faceted role that blends financial reporting, accounting operations, and strategic analysis while offering exposure across the business functions.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and comfort operating in a fast-paced environment.

• Owning financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for a high growth business

• Working closely with Senior finance leadership as a trusted partner to drive strategic planning and data driven decisions

• Diving deep into financial analysis to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities

• Monitoring and optimizing cash flow across AR, AP, and working capital

What you will do:

As a Senior Finance Analyst at ResQ, you will learn how to support a high growth organization's finances. Specifically, you will be contributing in the following areas:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis📈: Lead month end close, including journal entries, FX translations, and preparation of financial statements, while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Deliver clear financial and KPI reporting for investors and stakeholders, and provide variance, sensitivity, and trend analysis to support data driven decision making across the business.

• Accounting Operations: Oversee day to day financial operations, including AR, AP, and support for treasury management, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time. Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen financial controls.

• Budgeting and Forecasting💲: Support with the development and monitoring of the company’s annual budget. Undertake the necessary inquiries and document drivers for budget vs actual variances.

• Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations, including tax requirements, by overseeing accurate and timely filings. Strengthen financial controls and risk management processes to support scalable, compliant growth across the organization.

• Ad Hoc Projects and Systems Optimization 💻: Drive strategic initiatives across process optimization, system enhancements, and the implementation of automation and AI tools within Finance. Partners cross functionally to improve scalability, operational visibility, and data driven decision making.

Who You Are:

• Accounting designation (CPA)

• 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting, FP&A, or financial analysis, ideally within SaaS, fintech, or a transactional marketplace

• Solid audit and assurance background, with Big 4 or equivalent experience strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of accounting principals and financial regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)

• Strong analytical judgment with the ability to interpret data, apply technical standards, and surface insights that support decision-making

• Highly analytical, detail oriented, and comfortable working in ambiguity

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders

• High level of integrity, ownership, and accountability

• Experience with accounting software and BI tools such as QuickBooks, Looker, Omni or similar platforms
