About the role
Based at our EMEA Head Office in Amsterdam, this role is part of the EMEA Regional Finance team and reports directly to the Finance Manager EMEA. The team is responsible for Commercial Business Partnering across the region. As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will be a key contributor to the regional finance function, playing a pivotal role in supporting financial planning and analysis for the regional sales organization. This position requires close collaboration with stakeholders across sales and finance to deliver accurate reporting, meaningful insights, and strategic financial support that drives business performance.
Core accountabilities:
- Monthly Financial Reporting & Analysis: Deliver weekly estimates and end-of-month P&L analysis, highlighting key insights, risks, and opportunities. Prepare and present monthly sell in and allocation performance reports to regional stakeholders.
- Forecasting & Planning: Support monthly and quarterly forecasting cycles by coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure accurate inputs, analysis, and commentary. Monitor forecast accuracy and identify variances with actionable recommendations.
- Promotional Spend Oversight: Supervise the promotion approval process and assess risks and opportunities related to actuals versus forecast. Prepare promotional spend overviews and evaluate market performance against planned activities.
- Profit Allocation: Assist in market profit allocation calculations to ensure fair and accurate distribution of regional sales to Market P&L’s.
- Oversee financial controls, such as deductions management - tracking and resolution, credit limit reviews/allocations, aged debtor analysis and clearance etc.
- Commercial Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor and partner with regional and local key account managers, sales teams, and finance colleagues to provide financial insights and support target delivery.
- Pricing support and Ad-Hoc: Provide support in pricing setup and validation for regional retailers. Lead or support various financial projects and initiatives as required, contributing to continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
- Proven experience in commercial finance, business partnering, or FP&A roles, ideally within e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex commercial data and translate into business actions.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems (SAP, Power BI, or similar).
- Outstanding business partnering and communication skills; ability to influence and challenge stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
