This is a great opportunity for a fixed term 18 month role within our Finance team. Based in Melbourne the Senior Finance Advisor supports the B2C retail and Emobility business units. It is a commercial, business-partnering role working closely with the Powershop Commercial team and broader finance function.
The position focuses on financial performance, planning and analysis, risk management support, and enabling decision-making across customer growth, product development, and market exposure.
With respect, integrity and honesty you will:
- Finance partner to B2C retail and Emobility teams
- Track and forecast revenue, gross margin and unit margins
- Support budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis (including trend and variance analysis)
- Provide financial input into product pricing, new product initiatives and acquisition opportunities
- Review electricity and gas cash flow models prepared by commercial teams
- Support risk management activities in collaboration with Shell Trading (wholesale electricity and gas markets)
- Design and deliver financial and management reporting (Power BI, SAP BW)
- Support development of internal controls and compliance requirements
- Identify financial, tax or regulatory issues and escalate to relevant subject matter experts

- Proven experience in finance with strong commercial acumen
- Demonstrated business partnering experience
- Experience with wholesale energy markets and derivatives (energy retailer, producer, trader or broker environment)
- Ability to analyse financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA or ACCA) would be advantageous
