TITLE: Senior Fiduciary Advisor 

DEPARTMENT: 980 – Wealth Management/Trust 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Fiduciary Advisor is the primary administrative point of contact for grantors and beneficiaries and is also responsible for comprehensive fiduciary and technical advice to QCRH trust staff and their clients and prospects. This individual will manage personal trust accounts and settle estates using their legal training and experience to interpret complex trust instruments and assure adherence to governing documents and fiduciary standards

The Senior Fiduciary Advisor will provide a high level of client service and build and manage internal relationships for retention, growth and expansion. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Administer, service and monitor personal trust accounts.
  • Settle estates where QCBT is named or appointed as the corporate fiduciary and support estate settlement activities in the trust divisions of out of market banks within the QCRH family. 
  • May also administer agency or retirement accounts as part of overall fiduciary-derived relationships.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with grantors, beneficiaries, and other interested parties. 
  • Engage with internal partners to deliver a high-touch client experience within a strong risk management framework.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on fiduciary administration, including the interpretation of governing instruments, adherence to fiduciary principles and applicable laws, and the application of prudent investing standards. 
  • Develop new business and advise and consult with other officers on fiduciary matters. 
  • Represent the bank in business development activities with clients, attorneys and other centers of influence.
  • Maintain knowledge of current laws and regulations regarding trust and estate administration.
  • Utilize financial planning process to meet the needs of trust beneficiaries pursuant to the standards provided for in the governing documents.
  • Assist staff with fiduciary discretion and review of new business opportunities. 
  • Provide early intervention and solutions on fiduciary problems and risk matters.
  • Coordinate/Asses fiduciary tax returns.
  • Mentor and coach other team members. 
  • Participate in community activities as it relates to cultivating new relationships as well as in support of organizational culture.
  • Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position.
  • Foster and preserve a culture of inclusion.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required to support the company’s mission, vision and values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field required, JD strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum eight years trust administration or estate planning. 
  • AEP, CTFA, or CFP preferred.
  • Demonstrated exceptional business development skills and client relationship management skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Duties are performed in a professional office environment.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

The minimum salary range for this position is $105,000 annually. The actual starting salary will be based on qualifications and business needs and may vary, as permitted by applicable state law      

This position is a regular full-time position and individuals employed as regular full-time are eligible for the following benefits subject to the terms, limitations and conditions of each benefit plan: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401K, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and additional Voluntary Supplemental Insurance.
