Job description:

Based in Seoul, the role of VP, Senior FI Transaction Services Sales will provide the employee with the opportunity to be part of the growth and development of our FI payments and trade finance business in Asia-Pacific. It will be a key role, actively selling and originating Euro clearing services and trade solutions with our banks’ clients, creating a strategy for the non-bank’s payments business, and developing the deposits business. ING Bank has built a good business already, and we want to take it to the next level.

The role will require intensive cooperation with various stakeholders: FI coverage bankers, regional and global product managers, compliance, and KYC colleagues, both in Asia-Pacific and with our head-office. The Asia-Pacific FI Transaction Services sales team is supported by a very solid and experienced team in Europe.

As VP, Senior FI Transaction Services Sales, your responsibilities will be the following:

• Sales and origination of Euro (and central and eastern European currencies) clearing services and trade finance with banks and non-banks in Korea. This will include pricing, reviewing, and negotiating of payments and cash management services. This will also include risk assessment and pricing of trade finance transactions.
• Analyze payments flow and business cases when onboarding new clients.
• Build and maintain close relationships with clients, proactively acting on direct customer and market feedback.
• Develop a strategy and client approach plan to assess and meet clients’ payments and trade finance needs.
• Coordinate closely with FI coverage bankers, Implementation team, and client services team across the world.
• Act as an escalation point for payments related inquiries, issues and RFI’s.
• Contribute to a strategy for non-banks’ payments and trade finance business.
• Contribute to the development of the deposits business with our non-banks’ clients.

Prior experience required for this position:

• Prior work experience in payments and/or trade finance business.
• (Preferred) minimum 10years of banking experience, and minimum 5years of payments and/or trade finance experience.
