The Global Football Brand Management Team is the marketing function responsible for leading and driving plans global plans that serve the brand and business. Our goal is to know & serve inspiration, innovation and enablement to unlock the power of football for every athlete*. 

 

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for an Senior Brand Expert to join our Global Football (Soccer) Team. To Be considered for this role, you will love and obsess Football as a sport and as a culture. You will be able to successfully navigate the Nike matrix with strong cross-functional relationships and innovative thinking. The candidate should be a motivated leader who is thoughtful, proactive, and collaborative. 

 

What you will work on

If this is you, you’ll be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Obsessing football (soccer) Performance and Culture, both on the Men and Women fronts.
  • Understanding the football (soccer) Consumer at a deep level inclusive of their motivations, passions and connectivity to sport to inspire aspirational storytelling and concepts.
  • Deliver long term athlete brand plans for football (soccer) athletes.
  • Leading a cross functional marketing team to inspire world class storytelling and consumer journeys taking the brand and consumer somewhere new. 
  • Leading Seasonal Marketing Plans that position Nike as the top brand in football.
  • Partner with Sports Marketing to elevate athlete storytelling and athlete integration across the organization.  
  • Collaborate and partner with a highly capable, diverse and world-class, multi-disciplinary marketing team.

 

Who you will work with

You will be reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Football Brand Management. You will work closely with Global and Geo Brand Marketing, Sports Marketing, and Business Teams to ensure that strategy and resources serve the brand and business. 

 

What you bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in brand marketing or related experience with a deep understanding of the football (soccer) ecosystem and the elite football (soccer) athlete.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • Demonstrated genuine passion, expertise and deep understanding of football (soccer) performance and culture, fashion, trends, and youth culture at large.
  • Experience work with high profile athletes and/or talent.
  • (Internal Only) Deep understanding of Nike’s brand standards and how to translate them to industry leading work.
  • Forward thinking Marketeer with experience leading visionary work with creative teammates on high profile campaigns that drive brand and revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of partners across different cultures and regions.
  • Experience leading and influencing a team of high-performers through fast-paced change and ambiguity.
  • Experience influencing leadership, teams and functional counterparts to get results in a balanced way.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentation (Keynote).
  • Ability to travel (up to) 20%
