This role plays a critical part in enabling secure access, supporting business continuity, and ensuring regulatory compliance across Sandoz’s global IT landscape.
Job Description
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provide hands-on operational ownership of Active Directory services including user accounts, group structures, and access entitlements
Execute and coordinate Change, Incident, Request, and Problem Management activities for directory services
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across directory domains and environments
Act as senior escalation point for complex directory issues, including access anomalies and identity data inconsistencies
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, HR, and application teams to support business-critical access requirements
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (GxP, SOX, GDPR) and internal quality standards through compliant operations
Maintain audit-ready documentation, SOPs, and support internal/external audits and access reviews
Drive continuous improvement of directory operations, service performance, and operational standards
KPI: Directory service uptime and audit compliance adherence
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
7–10+ years of hands-on experience in Active Directory operations in enterprise environments
Proven experience supporting identity and access management in regulated industries (pharma, life sciences, healthcare)
Strong expertise in user/group administration, access management, and troubleshooting within Active Directory
Experience with ITIL-based service management processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
Demonstrated involvement in audit and compliance activities related to identity and access controls
Essential skills: Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and risk/compliance awareness, combined with effective cross-functional collaboration
Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Desirable Requirements:
Experience with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) and hybrid identity models
Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate-based authentication
