About this role: 

MATTE is looking for a Senior Experiential Producer to join its fast-growing Experiential department. The Senior Producer will be responsible for leading high-end experiential production for a variety of clients. This role requires strong creative production capabilities with a working understanding of technical production (AV, lighting, scenic, staging, fabrication) to confidently manage technical partners and ensure feasibility throughout the project lifecycle.

The Senior Producer reports to the Director of Experiential and works closely with project team leads across the organization. This role also contributes to the management of the production team, which includes both full-time and contracted staff.

The Senior Producer is responsible for leading experiential production for projects from kickoff through delivery and wrap, including:
  • Managing creative and technical experiential production that includes but is not limited to: building production plans and schedules, shepherding creative direction, overseeing junior production team members, and sourcing/managing all production vendors and partners.
  • Collaborating with technical vendors, fabrication partners, and AV teams to ensure technical feasibility across all experiential components.
  • Reviewing and providing directional feedback on technical documents such as renderings, gear lists, and shop drawings (with support from technical partners as needed).
  • Overseeing on-site installation, testing, and load-in with a general understanding of technical workflows and the ability to troubleshoot with vendors on the ground.
  • Developing and executing project scopes, timelines, budgets, and staffing plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and licenses for events and activations.
  • Providing and representing MATTE’s experiential production expertise internally and externally, ensuring the highest quality creative and technical execution while keeping feasibility and timelines grounded in reality.
  • Monitoring out-of-scope requests and initiating additional estimates and approvals.
  • Sourcing vendors and contractors as needed for all programs, including fabrication, scenic, AV, lighting, and specialty tech partners.
  • Building, managing, and wrapping project budgets ranging in scale and complexity, maximizing profitability in partnership with the Director of Experiential.
  • Supervising staff throughout the project lifecycle, reviewing and troubleshooting potential issues that may impact deadlines or deliverables.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Client Services, Creative, Strategy, and Operations to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Working within specific brand guidelines and bringing projects from concept to production while maintaining consistency, high standards, and technical accuracy.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in experiential marketing production, including event management and production
  • Track record of managing a team, with experience managing employees with different working styles
  • An ability to think fast, problem solve, present solutions and react positively to unexpected issues
  • Approachable, collaborative, results-oriented, problem-solving attitude and an ability to both provide and take direction well
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage budgets and timelines
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and permits for events and activations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A great network of vendors and industry connections
  • An adeptness in managing client relationships
  • A strong work ethic and sense of project ownership
  • Experience managing project budgets that range and scale up to $3MM
  • Ability to work on-site at our office in New York 4x days per week

Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000/year based on relevant experience
