Senior Executive ‐ Dye House

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to actively carryout process improvements at dyeing/finishing with an intention of continuously improving and establishing standards/systems/processes and product (lace/fabric) attributes such as handle (hand-feel), wicking etc. in order to gain a competitive advantage over the other systems / processes or products currently available in the market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investigate / examine the existing systems / processes at dyeing and finishing area and propose process/technical improvements to achieve the best product quality / optimize the process from a dyeing and finishing perspective.
- Carry out / investigate new developments in dye lab and bulk area.
- Assist / provide accurate and prompt feedback to the team on any non-conformities and make corrective actions as and when the need arises by cross checking of non-conformities especially when end product doesn’t comply with the standards of the customers.
- Provide prompt feedback / assistance to the dyeing and finishing production process to meet required quality levels (e.g. to achieve shades, fastness, etc.)
- Coordinate / send out samples of chemicals & dyes to outside institutions / laboratories for testing/evaluation to ensure that product output from the dye house meet both internal / external customer requirements whilst ensuring the health & safety aspects of the material used.
- Coordinate with the technical department, follow up on process/product parameters at the pilot appraisal and set standards/process route for bulk production.
- Validate/screen all new dyes/chemicals and ensure suitability of quality/technical parameters in order to meet compliance requirements/ guidelines.
- Assist / coordinate with the dyeing and finishing team to minimize reprocessing and waste in line with the organizational requirements.
- Follow up all the first bulks and coordinate with colour lab to do the improvements and changes necessary to improve lab to bulk and bulk to bulk consistency.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Degree in Textile manufacturing & Chemical Engineering.
2 years above working experience in Dyeing/R&D/Compliance.
Good communication skills.
