YOUR ROLE AS A SENIOR EXECUTIVE, DEMAND PLANNING & BUSINESS ANALYST
In this role, you manage demand forecasting, inventory planning, and business analysis to ensure optimal product availability, efficient inventory utilization, and smooth inflight operations, while also promoting AirAsia’s internal culture, maintaining governance transparency, and strengthening AirAsia’s brand image.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Track aging stock and product shortages, creating clear action plans with the buying team to clear old items and restock on time.
Align product forecasts and flight meal distribution with passenger numbers, sales goals, and planned promotions to hit revenue targets.
Analyze financial risks to guide restock decisions, handle purchase requisitions for all item categories, and advise on launching new products.
Work closely with flight operations and external caterers to manage schedule changes, send meal order notices, and ensure correct on-board meal loading.
Keep item records (SKUs) updated and build regular reports on passenger loads, pre-booked meals, sales trends, and food wastage or shortages.
Fix demand-related issues quickly, share best practices, and guide demand planners across other regional teams.
WHO YOU ARE:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, or other related fields.
Minimum 2 - 3 years of working experience preferably in Retail / E-Commerce demand planning, analytics, or buying/merchandising. Prior experience as a business analyst within the aviation or airline catering industry is highly preferred.
Agile all-rounder with excellent business acumen, comfortable working with ambiguity, adaptable to strategy and directional changes, with a continuous focus on driving results.
Demonstrates a result-driven approach and a team player mindset, as well as a strong willingness to learn and an understanding of data and analytical skills.
Possesses strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
Proficient in computer literacy (Google WorkSpace, MS Office Suite).

Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 2–3 years of work experience, preferably in retail or e-commerce demand planning, analytics, buying, or merchandising
- Business analyst experience in aviation or airline catering
- Strong business acumen and ability to work effectively with ambiguity and changing strategies
- Result-driven approach and team-player mindset
- Understanding of data and analytical skills
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
