SUMMARY 

The Senior Executive Assistant provides support to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) in its Immediate Office, supporting the daily work and activities of the ONC Deputy National Coordinator (DNC). Performs a variety of administrative tasks to include performing analysis and evaluation of tasks and conducting other high priority and urgent projects as assigned by the DNC. 

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance which is required by the Federal Government.
  • Strong administrative and project support skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using tools such as Concur Travel Systems.
  • Skilled in gap analysis, data review, event coordination, and managing multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication abilities, sound judgment, and professionalism under pressure.
  • Adept at working with diverse stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and proactively driving tasks to completion both independently and within team environments.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   

  • Proficient in the use of Concur Travel Systems (training available).
  • Operational understanding of mobile application data usage models.
  • Working knowledge of conducting gap analyses.
  • Strong administrative and clerical skills, including word processing, presentation development, records management, scheduling, time management, and general office procedures and terminology.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong command of professional grammar and composition.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management, coworkers, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong problem‑solving capabilities with sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information with exceptional discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize time‑sensitive projects, exercise independent judgment, maintain thoroughness and attention to detail, and remain composed under pressure.
  • Consistent professionalism and the ability to maintain high standards in fast‑paced or demanding situations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
  • Experience in event planning, including coordinating room setup and logistical requirements for various meetings and events.
  • Strong customer service skills with effective listening abilities and the capacity to handle complex or unusual situations calmly and professionally.
  • Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and accept accountability for assigned tasks.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience working in a professional business environment. Experience using Concur is preferred (will train).

The estimated pay range for this role is $43.00 to $46.00 per hour with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
