The role involves:
- Working with an industry leading Sell Side Equity Research team
- Working closely with the US Senior Analyst
- Significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of the front office teams in business.
- Thematic & Cross-Sector Research: Collaborate with the Lead Analyst to conduct in-depth thematic and cross-sector research, identifying trends and investment opportunities.
- Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models to support company valuations, including DCF, relative valuation, and scenario analysis.
- Report Writing: Contribute to the development of high-quality investment research materials, including thematic research reports, sector updates, and company-specific notes that offer clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Earnings Analysis: Update live earnings models, analyze quarterly results and conference calls, and draft earnings notes with key takeaways and investment implications.
- Industry Databases: Create and manage comprehensive industry databases to track key metrics, trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Data Gathering & Analysis: Gathering and analyzing large data sets from a variety of sources including company reports and online databases for conversion to crisp research reports
- Project Ownership: Independently manage complex research projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work with minimal supervision
- No of days working from the office in a week: At least 3 days in office
- Shift followed: Flexible, however 4-5 hours of overlap with US teams required

- 5+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educatio
- Academic qualifications - MBA / master's in finance from a premier educational institution / CFA / CA
- Upto 12 years of Equity Research experience.
- Strong Financial Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and valuation methodologies, including key financial and valuation ratios.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to read through financial reports, news, investor presentations, and transcripts and identify key information
- Database Proficiency: Skilled in using financial data platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and others, including the ability to extract and manipulate data using formulas and custom queries
- Advanced Financial Modeling: Experience in updating and maintaining financial models for various scenarios including earnings forecasts, M&A analysis, corporate restructuring, and initiation coverage.
- Strong Investment Research Writing Skills: Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and insightful investment research notes covering earnings results, sector themes, and market outlooks.
- Candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in AI tools and other emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency. This includes leveraging platforms like Microsoft Copilot etc, to automate workflows, enhance decision-making, and deliver actionable insights.
