The Senior Epic Application Analyst is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of Epic applications within a healthcare setting. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, IT professionals, and other stakeholders, to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of Epic applications. This role involves a deep understanding of Epic Systems' healthcare software and the ability to manage projects independently.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Included all job functions from Epic Application Analyst III
  • Epic Implementation and Configuration:
    • Lead and participate in the implementation and configuration of Epic applications based on organizational needs and requirements.
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful integration and deployment of Epic modules.
  • Project Management and Team Mentoring:
    • Provide regular updates to managers on project statuses, issues, and risks.
    • Collaborate with IT leadership to align Epic initiatives with the organization's overall IT strategy.
    • Ensure your mentee has a thorough understanding of the Epic applications they are working on. This includes proficiency in Epic modules relevant to their role.
    • Help your mentee develop strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex issues within the Epic environment.
    • Share your experiences in troubleshooting and provide guidance on effective problem-solving strategies.
    • Guide your mentee in project management aspects related to Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimizations.
    • Share insights into managing timelines, resources, and expectations within the context of Epic projects.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
    • Investigate and resolve complex issues related to Epic applications, ensuring minimal impact on daily operations.
    • Collaborate with technical support and vendors when necessary to resolve escalated issues.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Perform quality assurance checks on Epic configurations to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS required with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience or 5 years of relevant work experience in healthcare maybe substituted.
  • Epic certification in one or more relevant modules. (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Prelude, Cadence).
  • 2+ years of experience working with Epic applications, with a focus on implementation, optimization, and support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management experience and ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook).
  • Ability to work on rotational after hours and Saturdays as needed.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology (JIRA) ticketing system (preferred).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and best practices.

LANGUAGE:


  • Ability to read and write English fluently is required.
  • Fluency in other languages is an asset.

STATUS:


  • This is a FLSA Exempt position.
  • This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
  • This is a Full Time position.
