Bridgestone Americas, Inc. (BSAM), headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, and Bridgestone Europe, Middle East and Africa (BSEMEA), headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, operate collectively as a “Bridgestone West” strategic region. This region services the strategic business needs of teams across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa. • Developing and implementing environmental health and safety programs, processes, and procedures
• Developing, maintaining, and improving an environmental accident and investigation process to identify root causes and perform corrective actions
• Delivering training, learning and development requirements to employees
• Ensuring the organization is fully compliant with all legislative and organization requirements for safeguarding the environment, while protecting lives and assets
• Maintaining relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the environmental performance of the organization
• Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision
• Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals
• Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
• Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures
• Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
