Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team! The successful candidate will support and/or lead engineering assessments and other related activities for a variety of remedial design and construction projects ranging from the initial investigation phases through the final stages of remedial implementation and long-term management, collaborating with different project teams within our Environmental Practice group all across the Northeast.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Completes a variety of assignments such as preparing technical reports, design drawings, technical specifications for procurement and construction, technical presentations, leading meetings, and developing work products for client and regulatory agency reviews.
- Ability to collaborate and cross-sell within Parsons’ other engineering divisions including municipal, transportation, and infrastructure groups
- Reviews contract submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
- Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and surveys.
- Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and junior-level Engineers working on the same project.
- Works with project managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
- Provides key business development support to ongoing pursuits, including development of win strategy preparation of proposal packages.
- Technical support to Project teams including community/public outreach and regulatory/permitting/compliance.
- Provide technical support and leadership/mentorship to junior staff.
- May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum 8+ years of related work experience is required.
- Professional Engineer registration strongly preferred, or ability to obtain within 2 years.
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
- Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required.
- Strong independent work ethic, flexibility to adapt to rapidly shifting client priorities, and agility/eagerness to lead challenging and unique projects and assignments.
- Fundamental understanding of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering, and ability to provide guidance and direction to Drafters utilizing this software.

Salary Range:
$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
