About Clearwater Analytics® and Beacon
Clearwater Analytics® is a global SaaS platform for automated investment data aggregation, reconciliation, accounting, and reporting. Following its acquisition of Beacon, Clearwater offers a unified, cross-asset trading and risk platform built to modernize and consolidate legacy ETRM/CTRM infrastructure - replacing black-box systems with a transparent, cloud-native platform for position management, real-time P&L, mark-to-market, and market/credit risk across physical and financial commodities.
Job Description
We’re seeking a Senior Enterprise Sales Exec to drive new business across the EMEA Energy & Commodities Trading and Risk market - power, gas, LNG, oil and refined products, metals, and environmental/carbon products. You’ll sell Beacon’s cross-asset trading and risk platform to CROs, Heads of Trading, Heads of Market Risk, and front-office technology leaders, often displacing or consolidating legacy ETRM systems such as Allegro, OpenLink/Endur, RightAngle, or ION.
This is a high-growth, high-visibility area for Clearwater as we expand our footprint in energy and commodities across EMEA and Globally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and manage relationships with prospects, clients, and market influencers, developing a deep understanding of their current ETRM/CTRM infrastructure, trading workflows, and risk management challenges.
- Maintain fluency in the value proposition of Clearwater/Beacon relative to legacy ETRM/CTRM platforms — cross-asset coverage, model transparency, and real-time risk and P&L.
- Develop new accounts predominantly and expand existing accounts across EMEA energy and commodities markets, solving complex technical and business problems throughout the sales cycle.
- Run structured discovery and needs-identification meetings with trading, risk, and technology stakeholders.
- Progress and close complex multi-stakeholder deals using a structured sales methodology (e.g. MEDDPICC).
- Work closely with Executive Management, Client Services, Marketing, and Pre-Sales to shape and execute deal strategy.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years selling enterprise technology (Saas) into energy and commodities trading and risk organizations, with a demonstrated track record of closing deals in this market.
- Deep domain background in one or more of: ETRM, CTRM, cross-asset trading and risk, or enterprise/market risk management.
- Familiarity with legacy ETRM/CTRM platforms (e.g. Allegro, OpenLink/Endur, RightAngle, ION, Murex) and experience selling displacement or modernization deals against them is a strong plus.
- Proven, demonstrable track record of attaining multi-million annual quotas, using a structured sales methodology (MEDDPICC or similar).
- Established relationships with CROs, Heads of Trading, Heads of Market Risk, and other senior trading/risk decision-makers.
- Strong presentation and writing skills for client-facing activities.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex, multi-party enterprise sales cycles.
- High adaptability under deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change; comfortable working independently and within a team.
