ERG is seeking experienced project managers to join a growing team of support staff to provide full-time immediate on-site technical and project support in a manufacturing environment at a federal site in Indian Head, MD.


 This position will be full-time at the federal site in Indian Head, MD. It will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site and ERG’s Chantilly and Arlington offices. Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA. Alternative work schedules may be considered.

Job Description:

  • Developing, updating, and maintaining project and production scheduling tools using Microsoft Excel® and Microsoft Project®, including action tracking spreadsheets, deliverable tracking spreadsheets, manufacturing calendars and schedules, program budgets, and staffing plans
  • Working with management, engineers, operators, technicians, and vendors to coordinate project and production goals
  • Analyzing program budgets and spending plans, addressing concerns, and communicating potential issues to management
  • Analyzing and presenting project and manufacturing performance data and conclusions to management
  • Scheduling, leading, and assisting project and production planning meetings
  • Reviewing, compiling, and distributing documents and status updates to stakeholders
  • Ensuring raw materials, intermediates, and products meet necessary quality standards
  • Performing other various project support duties as requested by the client

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum GPA of 3.0) in an engineering discipline
  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivated to engage with personnel
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), meticulous attention to detail, high motivation, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with limited oversight
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations 

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • 10 or more years of project management experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Expertise in reviewing technical data packages and engineering drawings
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Federal contract or facilities experience
  • An active secret-level security clearance
  • Expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel, with the ability to develop and manage complex spreadsheets (including VBA programming and Lookup, pivot tables, and scheduling forms)
  • Expertise in advanced Microsoft Project, with the ability to develop and manage complex projects (including scheduling dependencies, resource delegation, critical path analysis, task sheets, and Gantt charts) and troubleshoot existing projects
