Purpose Statement:
Strategic manager of multiple product lines, technologies, or specialized functions. Devotes a significant portion of time to managerial, leadership, and employee development of a complex or large department or staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Manufacturing Engineering of a given area.
- Works with Value Stream and Quality Engineering Manager to deliver business objectives – lean manufacturing metrics, VIP, cycle time, PRR, scarp as %VOP etc.
- Responsible for developing a world class-manufacturing group that is proficient in problem solving manufacturing issues using Six-Sigma tools.
- Drives IBP (Integrated Business Plan) contract deliverables by providing input on process technology selection.
- Develops and executes departmental budgets and capital spending.
- Leads or represents function in periodic business metric reviews.
- Initiates cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve production/engineering issues.
- Prioritizes and drives execution of multiple complex department projects. Sponsors and supports Operations Value Improvement Process (VIP) or Strategic Activity Review (STAR) projects.
- Responsible for the departmental basics including budgeting, hiring, day-to-day management, project resourcing, etc.
Job Requirements:
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Leader with strong technical depth and the ability to drive organizational excellence in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, or Science.
- Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, with a strong track record in leadership roles within multinational corporations (MNCs)
- Extensive experience in:
- Process and Equipment Sustaining Engineering
- New Product Introduction (NPI) and Technology Transfer
- Industry 4.0 / advanced manufacturing initiatives
- Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated environments is highly preferred
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, influence, and lead large, diverse teams
- Proven capability to drive cross-functional collaboration and align stakeholders toward common goals
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop senior leadership teams
- Builds and fosters a culture of diversity, inclusion, and high performance
- Leverages internal and external networks to drive organizational change and transformation
- Skilled in negotiating win-win outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
- Persuasive and impactful communicator with strong executive presence
- Acts as a role model and motivator across the department or business unit
- Comfortable operating outside of comfort zone, embracing ambiguity and change
- Highly resilient and adaptable, with strong ability to navigate complex challenges
