Roles and Responsibilities:
Being a people leader of a medium sized (9-12) team of high performing of senior and lead professionals based on site, remote, and in secondary GE facility locations
Identify and hire talented individual contributors, including acting as a liaison for our early engineering development program (Edison Program)
Develop existing members of the staff
Maintain a positive working environment, balancing the needs of the business and advocating for team needs
Provide input on 3-5 year strategic plans on the future in this ever evolving predictive aircraft maintenance space
Communicate well in a customer facing role
Be a voice of the customer to the business
Manage medium scale projects with accountability and tie outcomes to long term vision
Drive adoption of FLIGHT DECK (Lean) principles within the team and greater organization by sustaining and improving Monthly Operating Reviews, maintaining or improving KPIs and integrating proper problem solving measures as necessary
Collaborate across the greater Fleet Support organization, including with our digital product owners and digital technology teams to ensure seamless delivery of our products
Interpret simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of technical leadership experience (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of technical leadership experience).
