Social Finance, LLC seeks Senior Engineering Manager, Home Loans in Seattle, WA:
Job Duties: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Define and communicate team objectives, set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching. Identify skill gaps within the team and coordinate training programs to enhance technical capabilities. Foster a culture of innovation, professional growth, and continuous improvement. Oversee the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and create project plans, schedules, and budgets. Manage project priorities and resolve conflicts to ensure efficient project execution. Track and report project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes. Provide technical leadership and guidance to software development teams, promoting best practices, architectural standards, and code quality. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the software development process. Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, promoting effective communication, coordination, and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and execute strategies that drive operational excellence and improve software development practices. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Sofi offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field, OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java J2EE; (2) Python; (3) C# and C++; (4) Kotlin; (5) Distributed Systems; (6) Microservices; (7) RPC; (8) gRPC; (9) MongoDB; (10) PostgreSQL; (11) Snowflake; (12) Kubernetes; (13) Docker; (14) Spring; (15) Spring Boot; (16) AWS; (17) Linux; (18) GitLab; and (19) Scrum, Agile, and Kanban. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Sofi offices may be required.
Salary: $250,000.00 - $275,000.00 per annum & standard company benefits.
