About the role:
This is a critical leadership role in our data team and can be based in London or Amsterdam. You will lead the effort to build and refine a data platform that accelerates a decentralised data adoption model. Your main focus is creating and leading a high-performing team that delivers trustable, usable data meeting all business needs.

- You embed and scale standardised engineering practices and operational excellence.

- You align multiple teams with product and business stakeholders, navigating complex trade-offs.
- You set and improve engineering metrics like DORA and delivery KPIs across all teams.
What you bring to the team
- A solid track record of leading and building multiple high-performance data platform engineering teams.
- Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams through significant change.
- Experience building a platform as a product using agile delivery methods.
- Prior experience as a senior platform or data engineer.
- Experience guiding teams through complex technical data and analytics engineering decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, making complex topics transparent and easy to understand.
- Experience navigating a complex, enterprise-wide customer landscape with competing priorities.

- Knowledge of the e-commerce domain.
- A degree in a STEM field like Computer Science or Mathematics.
- A strong understanding of data architecture paradigms and their business applications.
