Position Summary:

Adobe Firefly Gen AI Models and services group is looking for a Firefly models & Services passionate Engineering Manager interested in working on generative AI models for image, vector, audio, video and multimodal to help us build the next generation of foundation models that power Adobe creative tools.

We are looking for a passionate Engineering Manager with machine learning expertise who can contribute to building, optimizing and deploying model pipelines to be used by Adobe’s innovative and Industry leading products in imaging, 3D, vector and Audio/Video domains.

As a Firefly Models and Services Engineering Manager, you will join an outstanding team of ML and service engineers building the future of digital experiences. You will work across multiple Adobe teams to design and build the pipelines of the future foundation models at Adobe. You will be empowered to make important technical decisions and prioritize model optimization experiments. You will have the opportunity to develop novel ideas to advance the creative world through features in Adobe's products and reach millions of people worldwide!

Job Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team of world-class ML engineers to build and optimize large-scale foundation model pipelines in Generative AI
• Partner with Adobe Research and Applied Research to ship innovative models.
• Collaborate with the Product Management, Engineering and Research teams to architect and implement new AI/ML capabilities
• Partner with senior technical leaders to develop guidelines and strategies for efficiently transitioning AI/ML projects from research to customer feature while maintaining outstanding quality and safety.
• Coordinate with other teams to align on priorities and drive our goals and projects forward
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance
• Create and instill a team culture that focuses on sound scientific processes, engineering excellence, and encourages deep engagement with our customers
• Review and provide feedback on features, technology, architecture, designs and test strategies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI/ML or related fields or B.Tech and strong experience in AI/ML.
• 10+ years of experience
• 5+ years of experience building and shipping large scale ML solutions.
• 2+ years of people management and leadership experience with research and engineering teams
• Sound knowledge of generative AI, common ML algorithms, and natural language processing
• Experience with Python. Familiarity with cloud development on Azure/AWS.
• Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong record of developing, leading, coaching, and mentoring software and machine learning engineers and scientists.
• Experience in cultivating a positive environment conducive to growth.
• Excellent collaboration skill. Experience with working in a Matrix organization, driving alignment, drawing conclusions and getting things done

Preferred experience:

• Experience in pioneering Generative AI technologies, such as GAN, diffusion, and transformer models
• Strong hands-on experience with large-scale GenAI model pipelines and/or shipping ML features
