Essential Responsibilities
The Senior Engineering Manager demonstrates leadership in communicating Aero derivative Compressor team needs to their team and in driving culture of continuous improvement and collaboration to deliver better value for product and customer. In this role, they will utilize their experience and expertise to lead and solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals of GTE organization.
- Is responsible for build in kind and potential NPI responsibilities covering compressor components with leading & solving design, producibility and RCA problems which have contributed in reducing the cost of quality.
- Technical know how: Should have strong technical knowledge of gas turbine / compressor mechanical components & sub-system design to lead & drive design and producibility programs & RCA solutions
- Process knowledge: Should have detailed knowledge of engineering, manufacturing & supply chain processes to successfully conduct risk evaluation & decision making for the programs they lead in this role
- Handle critical design meetings with excellent technical preparation and with good insight on physics and through past best practices.
- Provide strong coordination between the systems, product line, sciences, PDE and chief engineers office organizations during the project execution phase to meet product CTQ’s.
- Keep strong connections within every module team in other global sites to leverage best practices and to review key design decisions as one engineering community.
- Drive documentation of technical data generated by the team consistent with engineering policies and procedures. This is specifically critical for Aero Derivative space.
- Develop continuous improvement road map for product, people, process and technology to drive product differentiation in the market.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments to broader GTE leadership team.
- Develop and coach every team member to achieve their career interest in short and long term.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 8 years of experience in the field of gas turbine mechanical design, development, and testing.
- Hands on experience with turbomachinery design tools and familiar with gas power tollgate review process.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
