Job Title: Senior Engineering Consultant
Location: Houston, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time (Hybrid)
Product Area: This role is focusing on candidates with AVEVA E3D knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities
- Understand the customer’s technology stack, organization, technology governance policies and strategic objectives related to how AVEVA solutions will be used.
- Inform customers of best practices, pitfalls/opportunities to avoid adoption hurdles, help them make informed decisions.
- Identify potential configuration or design related issues.
- Review functional capabilities and proposed changes to avoid issues that may impair system performance or stability.
- Provide AVEVA application tuning and performance advice.
- Assess system readiness for upgrade and facilitate upgrade planning.
- Assist customers with the deployment of major version upgrades and adoption of new technology.
- Deliver feature adoption advice, demo new features, identify gaps in feature usage and provide license optimization recommendations.
- Support resolution of technical issues causing stalled customer journeys or low adoption. Formulate remediation plans and lead execution in partnership with IAC, CSM & AM.
- Deliver Success Accelerators and Training Offerings related to customers primary technology.
- Provide input to the development of new Success Accelerators and Training collateral or improvement of existing accelerators and training collateral.
- Document and formally propose product enhancements or improvements to AVEVA products.
- Diagnose customer readiness issues or adoption obstacles and prescribe solutions (reactive and preventative) that enhance customer journey and accelerate time to value.
- Provide guidance to help standardize AVEVA product adoption and configuration across projects, sites, and regions.
Success Measures:
- Adoption and credit consumption, through increased software usage, expansion of software footprint and reduction in churn for customers receiving TAS interactions.
- Customer satisfaction for customers receiving TAS and CES interactions.
- TAS revenue growth for customers receiving TAS and CES interactions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Detailed understanding of how their primary technology is applied in the customer’s industry, including customer KPI’s and typical outcomes.
- Effective communicator provides empathetic direction to customer (and AVEVA) on best course of action.
- Active listener who can join the dots between what would benefit the customer and how AVEVA can assist.
- Comfortable with best practices in situations involving high levels of complexity.
- Bachelor level degree in technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years performing technical support for AVEVA software of their specialty.
AND/OR
- 5+ years* creating solutions with AVEVA products.
- 5+ years* technical project management or technical lead engineering experience implementing AVEVA software solution projects.
- 5+ years* technical pre-sales consultancy with AVEVA products
- 5+ years* solution support engineer with AVEVA products
*(in absence of a degree, at least 8 years of experience will be required)
- Valid Passport is required.
- Excellent software technology acumen
- Expert level domain knowledge for which they are qualified.
- Strong leadership, customer service, and interpersonal relationship skills
- Solid oral, written, presentation, and communication skills.
- Familiar with infrastructure environments related to AVEVA software deployments.
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve problems and share best practices.
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple activities.
- Experience working with C-level executives, a plus.
- A background in architectures and enterprise-wide design methodologies, a plus
- Willing and able to travel for up to 20%.
Salary Range:
$87,900.00 - $146,700.00
This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
