Shared Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering best practice across both domains.
  • Contribute to design discussions and system improvement planning.
  • Work cross‑functionally with product, DevOps, architecture and business teams.
  • Identify simplification and continuous‑improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to Shell’s security and compliance standards.

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:

  • Strong software engineering background (SQL, Python, C#, Typescript or similar).
  • Experience with Agile delivery, CI/CD, DevOps, automation and infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of cloud (AWS preferred), distributed systems and security best practice.
  • Familiarity with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and config‑management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Solid communication, problem‑solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Adaptability, resilience, customer focus and a collaborative mindset.
  • Degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering; relevant certifications desirable.
