C# .NET Software Engineer

The Platform Team sits at the core of our globally distributed eCommerce solution, empowering engineering teams with shared services, scalable infrastructure, and developer tooling. We build the foundation that enables dozens of engineers to ship high-quality software, faster and safer.

Our stack is primarily .NET on Azure. We architect and deliver microservices that span three regions, automate some of the boring stuff with Azure DevOps and PowerShell, define infrastructure with Helm, and tame the event-driven wild with Kafka. But we don’t expect you to know everything – we’d rather work with a sharp mind who’s excited to learn than someone who’s memorized the Kubernetes glossary.

You're the kind of engineer who wants to go deep into infrastructure one week and build a robust microservice the next. You value engineering craftsmanship, autonomy, and helping other engineers succeed. You enjoy solving hard problems and leaving things better than you found them.

• Design and architect backend services, APIs, and cloud-based systems that are secure, scalable, and maintainable
• Write clean, well-tested, and performant C#/.NET code
• Contribute to the development and evolution of our shared microservices and internal developer tooling
• Collaborate with other engineers to improve our CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and Kubernetes deployments (Helm, PowerShell)
• Participate in system design discussions, technical planning, and architectural reviews
• Help shape platform standards and best practices used across engineering teams
• Own your work from concept to production, including monitoring and incident response

• Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem
• Proven ability to design RESTful APIs and software architecture for distributed systems
• Experience with Azure cloud services 
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Exposure to Kafka or other message-based systems
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and standard dev workflows
• Clear understanding of software design principles, system decomposition, and clean coding practices
• A growth mindset and genuine curiosity for learning new tools and technologies
• Comfortable collaborating with teammates across engineering, product, and DevOps
• Nice to have: Some scripting ability (e.g., PowerShell or Bash)
