Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Cardinal Health 3PL is embarking on a multi-year strategy to modernize our U.S. warehouse management solutions in parallel of an ERP transformation initiative. With our clients and their customers at the forefront of this strategy, we will be able to provide new WMS capabilities, sustain regulatory compliance, and position the business for growth.
The Specialty 3PL IT team is growing to support enterprise warehouse management implementations. Supported solutions include large, complex, leading-edge warehouse management systems, labor planning products, robotic and automation integrations, analytics, and more.
Responsibilities
- Leading all warehouse management technical and functional aspects of large-scale program implementations in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to provide technical oversight specific to custom products, package software, and most importantly, SaaS applications.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team that consists of onshore/offshore resources, including both contractors and FTE’s.
- Exploring, learning, and becoming an expert of the Tecsys WM SaaS solution
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture and IT Leadership on selecting the appropriate solution components that align with company standards while also meeting the requirements of the program.
- Provide technical recommendations on warehouse management build/sustain initiatives.
- Brings wealth of knowledge to providing guidance on infrastructure, SaaS, enterprise alerting and monitoring, software development best practices, DevSecOps, testing automation, etc.
- Design solutions related to warehouse automation and warehouse management systems.
- Participate in root cause analysis sessions with support teams.
- Working knowledge of ERP & Distribution/Warehouse processes and accounting concepts is preferred.
- Strong 3PL and Pharmaceutical supply chain knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Advanced Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in related field preferred.
- Expert knowledge on various technology domains and end-to-end application architectures preferred.
- Experience with latest Tecsys product and technologies, or comparable WM SaaS solutions preferred
- Direct experience in implementing large, technically complex WM solutions that integrate with an ERP (i.e. SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Warehouse Management knowledge and skills (inbound, outbound, inventory management, analytics) required
- Experience in integration architecture and patterns, including integration via APIs and services is required
- Familiarity with the DSCSA serialization industry program, preferably having implemented solutions that integration with 3rd party serialization provider
- Experience Designing and developing APIs, and services with a microservices architecture preferred.
- Experience with multiple development languages including C, C++,Java, Kotlin, .NET, REST/SOAP APIs, microservices is preferred.
- Experience with architecture design and deployment using cloud platforms, Google Cloud (preferred), AWS and familiarity with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS concepts preferred
- Experience with Warehouse Automation solutions is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.

Anticipated salary range: $119,800 - $171,100
