The Group:
The charter of ADI’s Custom Silicon & Consumer Solutions (CSS) team is to lead the market across a range of exciting technology domains with highly differentiated sensing & signal processing and Power solutions. Today these technology areas include Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Optical Sensing, Audio, PMIC and hybrid mixed-signal/power developments which drive major growth in our portable Consumer business. The Position:
The group is seeking an experienced Test Development Engineer to join our European team, based in Limerick, Ireland. The candidate must be self-motivated, willing to learn exciting new technologies, develop new product solutions, exhibit strong Test technical skills and work effectively within a talented group of individuals across multiple development locations.
The successful candidate will work closely with an extensive new product development team as part of a multi-Engineer Test team, assuming responsibility for the development of innovative high performance mass production ready hardware and software (including opportunities to undertake pre-silicon verification in Design Simulation and FPGA environments) for our leading-edge product portfolio, with a keen focus on cost optimization.
Role and Responsibilities:
- DFT definition & development to improve testability, quality and reduce cost.
- Pre-silicon verification of Test solutions in Design Simulation and FPGA environments.
- Design of innovative, reliable and efficient multi-site Test solutions on high performance ATE platforms.
- Execution of the Test development phase including Silicon functionality and debug, ATE Characterization, solution optimization and Offshore Production release.
- Support the fast ramp of ultra hi-volume new products.
- Interface with a broad range of groups such as Assembly, Reliability & FA, H/W technology etc.
- With CSS peers and the wider Test Development community, drive for continuous advancement of measurement methodologies through improvement initiatives.
Relevant Skills:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- 3+ years of Test Development experience in the Mixed Signal and/or Power domain.
- In depth knowledge of Analogue and Digital Electronics.
- Strong ATE program development skills (Teradyne and/or SPEA platforms ideal, but not essential).
- Experienced in mixed signal PCB design and associated CAD/Simulation tools.
- Be self-motivated, willing to take on responsibility, and show initiative in identifying and solving challenging technical problems.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record for solving complex problems via planning, debug, data analysis and reporting.
Strong teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills are essential
