The Automatic Test Equipment (ATEQ) Group under the Instrumentation Business Unit at Analog Devices is seeking a motivated graduate Test Development Engineer to join our team at ADI’s European Research and Development center in Limerick, Ireland. The ATEQ group consists of a 100+ new product development (NPD) engineers across the US, Europe and the Philippines with a group of 30+ located in Limerick supporting marketing, design, layout, verification, test, eval, PM and application engineering.
The successful candidate will individually contribute to the NPD team to characterize and production test a wide range of high speed and precision signal chain products targeted toward ATE applications and platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and fast learning individual with strong technical, analytical and communication skills as well has possessing a team player mentality to thrive in a collaborative team.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Development of innovative, reliable and efficient Probe and Test solutions on high performance mixed-signal ATE platforms for multisite parallel testing of a range of integrated circuit products.

Execution of the Test Development Process including the development phases of Silicon Functionality, Sampling, Characterization, Qualification, Yield Analysis and Offshore Production release to the manufacturing test sites.

Work with design engineers in defining & developing test methodologies, test plans and DFT/BIST to maximise test coverage, reduce FFC and improve testability.

Implement pre-tapeout verification of test solutions using Design Simulation tools.

Define test schematics and work with layout engineers in the design of Printed Circuit Boards hardware for Probe and Test solutions.

Confirm complete test coverage of the datasheet with statistical significance to ensure product meets all manufacturing requirements.

Debugging and correlating production test solutions to engineering bench measurements and transferring production test solutions to high-volume manufacturing sites and engaging with same to maintain production yield and high quality.

Manage and maintain project schedules and costs that align with the product targets.

May participate in customer or training related visits (Travel 10%)
Minimum qualifications and required skills

BS or MS degree in EE or ECE.

Strong analytical skills. Ability to solve complex problems through design of appropriate experiments and analysis of complex data.

Teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills are essential coupled with demonstrated ability to work at a high level of performance both independently and in large teams.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work to aggressive schedules.

Knowledge of software languages ideally in LabVIEW, VB, C/C++ or Python.

Knowledge of mixed signal PCB design.
-
Experience with evaluation of analog and mixed signal circuits would be advantageous.

Any ATE program development skills with Teradyne, National Instruments or similar would be beneficial.
