Duties:
- Develop bench software and hardware to analyze silicon.
- Collaborate with a multi-function team including Design, Apps, Marketing, Test, Product, and Software to identify, simulate, and correct functional parametric problems.
- Work with a team of engineers to support, evaluate, troubleshoot, and characterize new silicon for wireless communication systems.
- Investigate customer returns to root-cause failures and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair automated test equipment (ATE) hardware.
- Consult with Test Development Engineers on wafer probe and final tests, characterization, documentation, limit setting, and release to manufacturing.
- Understand and apply RF measurement parameters.
- Use lab equipment including signal generators, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, clock sources, and digital scopes.
Partial telecommute benefit (1 day WFH).
Requirements:
Must have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (willing to accept a foreign education equivalent) and 24 months of experience as a Product or Test Electrical Engineer or related occupation analyzing, evaluating, characterizing, and debugging wireless communication systems.
Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section):
- Demonstrated Expertise (DE) using the NI STS tester, LabVIEW, and Test Stand software platforms to troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair ATE hardware.
- DE analyzing new silicon on bench in collaboration with design, product, and test development engineers, to determine root cause Device Under Test (DUT) failures and implement corrective actions.
- DE using python scripts from a dedicated git repository to test and analyze customer returns.
- DE developing python scripts for root cause and data analysis, as well as data collection for failure analysis activity.
- DE in using lab equipment including but not limited to signal generators, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, clock sources, and digital scopes.
