JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead each components / parts commodity team to define the Quality Objectives Roadmap
and obtain business unit advanced quality manager / director approval of targets. Lead a
cross functional team within the SDT to ensure that the objectives are met.
- Lead and manages Supplier Advance Quality Engineering to participate in safety sign-offs,
design reviews, program reviews, and phase exit reviews
- Lead each components / parts commodity team on executing the elements of Supplier
Advanced Quality Planning including coordinating with supplier to conduct Run@ Rate and
approval of seat’s components PPAP
- Lead each components / parts commodity team on executing supplier to develop the
Prototype, Pre-production and Production Control Plans
- Coordinate with supplier to develop the measurement system analysis plan for the seat
components
- Lead each components / parts commodity team for implementation of the manufacturing
quality systems for the prototype and pre-production builds (e.g. incoming inspection
instructions, containment instructions etc.) as defined in BOS and/or specified on the
Product control Plan
- Lead each components parts commodity team to perform supplier capability studies and
document the result for all program special characteristics, and ensure that Customer and
internal requirements are met (or a written customer deviation in obtained)
- Coordinate with customer – Advance Quality Engineer and customer for the seat appearance
Approval including proper customer submission paperwork, by either performing the required
activities directly or coordinating the completion of the activities.
- Lead each components parts commodity team to coordinate the preparation and on-time
delivery of PPAP packages for submission and approval.
- Responsible to coordinate the preparation and on time delivery of supplier AQP deliverables
including: Control Plans, Capability Plants, Capability Studies, Part layouts, Gage design,
Gage design, Gage R&R, PFMEA (if applicable).
- Utilize all applicable Customer-specific systems (e.g. DaimlerChrysler PRISM, GM PRR, Ford
WERS) Ensure that appropriate statistical methods are utilized
- Ensure that appropriate statistical methods are utilized throughout the product and process development process and deployed into the control plan.
- Responsible for completion of all other customer – specific Advance Quality Planning
Requirements.
- Responsible to assist each components / commodity and other SDT members to assure all
SDT Deliverables are met on time, to the appropriate level of detail.
