About the Role
This is the first SaaP program award in Asia and SW Resident Engineer (Customer Technical Front) is one of very important roles on the program. Daihatsu is an affiliate of Toyota, and Harman will take this as the initial stage of penetrating into Toyota to become their software/technical partner.

What You Will Do
Cooperate with customers to provide and educate Car audio solution. Work very closely with DENSO SW engineers & architect Lead system level issue analysis and tracking Cooperate with worldwide development teams supporting the Project Lead Android Auto/QNX programming/build image
- Harman Japan will not design/develop this program, but understanding how our customer design will impact a flawless execution & launch. We expect this role will lead our SaaP development team & validation team in China as a customer voice.
- Audio architecture & DSP knowledge is required for this role.
- This role will lead managing a customer and development team in China. Challenge is to bridge between Car Audio Group & Intelligent Cockpit Group.
- This role requires all of (Leadership, Change Orientation, Collaboration, Judgement, and Results Driven) since there is no precedent, or example you can refer to when you bump into issues.
What You Need
- Software development experience required. 5~8 years
- Audio Architect & DSP experience required. 3~5 years
- High proficiency of Japanese & English required.
- Proactive and bottom-up characteristic required.
- Bachelor degree of computer science or engineering
What is Nice to Have
Android/QNX SW development experience
Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC
Audio signal processing algorithms
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 5% for mostly domestic travel.
- Be willing to work in an office OR This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)
- Successfully complete a background investigation/Aptitude Test as a condition of employment.
