Location: Bogota (Hybrid scheme: 2 days in the office per week)
The Development Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for critical applications and domains. This role requires deep technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide guidance across multiple projects. You will partner with architecture and leadership to influence long-term technical strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software features using JavaScript, Node.js, XML, and TypeScript.
- Act as SME for core systems and technologies.
- Provide technical solutions for complex business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural alignment.
- Perform code and design reviews to maintain technical excellence.
- Drive innovation and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of development experience with proven expertise in multiple large-scale projects.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, XML, and TypeScript.
- Strong design, architecture, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating across multiple teams and domains.
- Nice to have: C++, Airline domain expertise.
Fluent English: interviews will be held in this language.
