Your Opportunity as a Senior Engineer, Site Savings Leader
Join the team behind one of America’s fastest-growing and most-loved brands—Uncrustables®—at our manufacturing facility in Scottsville, KY. In this role, you will help drive the site's continuous improvement and cost savings strategy by identifying opportunities, developing high-impact projects, and coaching others through successful project execution. You'll work closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Site Leadership to turn operational losses into sustainable business results while building project leadership capability across the site.

In this role you will:
- Lead the site's savings process by partnering with department teams to identify losses, quantify opportunities, and develop a prioritized pipeline of improvement projects.
- Facilitate loss analysis activities and use data-driven insights to identify opportunities that improve productivity, reduce waste, and deliver measurable cost savings.
- Coach and develop Process Engineers, Area Leaders, and project owners on loss analysis, project development, business case creation, milestone planning, and execution discipline.
- Develop and support project charters, business cases, funding requests, KPI plans, and savings analyses for approved initiatives.
- Lead or support high-impact savings and transformation projects from concept through implementation and sustainment, providing bi-monthly updates to our Transformation office.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Site Leadership to prioritize projects and align resources against business objectives.
- Provide technical and project management coaching to initiative owners, helping ensure projects remain on track and savings opportunities are realized.
- Monitor project progress, communicate risks and watchouts, and drive resolution of technical and operational barriers.
- Maintain accurate project milestones, status updates, and savings results within WAVE and other applicable business systems.
- Apply continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies, including loss analysis, root cause analysis, process mapping, and structured improvement tools.
- Support site master planning efforts by providing data, recommendations, and project prioritization insights to site leadership.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety, quality, food safety, and change management requirements while delivering sustainable results.
What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree; Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
- 2+ years of engineering, manufacturing, continuous improvement, or project leadership experience (food manufacturing preferred)
- Strong project management, and problem-solving skills
- Experience analyzing data and driving process improvements
- Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
- Food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing experience
- Experience with loss analysis, cost savings programs, or operational excellence initiatives
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, FI, or continuous improvement experience
- Experience coaching engineers, supervisors, initiative owners, and/or operational leaders
- Experience developing project charters, business cases, and capital funding requests
- Knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with project tracking and manufacturing systems such as WAVE, Proficy or similar platforms.
- Completion of PE school or equivalent technical development program
- Strong leadership and change management skills
