Job Description
The Weekend Support Team provides support by Chats and Phones in both hardware and software Industrial Automation areas. We support hardware (Automation PLCs, VFDs, Motion, Sensors, HMIs, and other components) and software (SCADA systems, Network and Security Switches, Programming Software, Advanced Monitoring, Supervisory Control software, and others) and solution-based products.
Engineers assist with troubleshooting hardware and software faults including but not limited to remotely providing support inside customers' application environment. The main task of Weekend Support is to provide Phone and Chat support over the weekends and holidays. During the weekdays Engineers work on projects, self-development, (getting training, delivering training) and help other teams.
Remote Support Engineers will answer incoming customers' questions, lab testing/verifying solutions, building projects and developing and documenting technical articles. This is a great opportunity to gain highly complex knowledge and experience in the Industrial Automation area and become a specialist in one of many fields like PLC, SCADA, HMI, Power Control – Drives, Motion, Industrial Networks, and many more.
You will report to the TEAM LEADER, REMOTE SUPPORT and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities:
- Phone and Live Chat technical support for customers in troubleshooting and solving issues related to Rockwell Automation products.
- Handle the escalated clients 'issues.
- To take on the role of a technical lead, mentoring, coaching, and training other engineers in the domain where they excel.
- Simulation and analysis of clients' issues using available resources.
- Research, verification, and resolution of reported issues.
- Document technical solutions and best practices.
- Cooperation with other technical teams, Customer Care, and Product Managers.
- Continuous improvement in products and technologies is required to provide high-level support for customers.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Degree in Automation Engineering/Electrical/ or related field.
- 8 + of experience in a similar position.
- Very good command of English (spoken and written).
- Knowledge of electricity and reading of wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of VFDs, Industrial Networks, and SCADA systems.
- Basic knowledge of the Windows operating system.
- Ability to work on stressful commercial issues.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Willingness to work Monday-Sunday, on a 1st or 2nd shift and Holidays (any two days off in the working week because of Saturday and Sunday).
- Eagerness to develop in Industrial Automation and to learn new technologies.
- Interest in troubleshooting, testing, and improving our products and services.
- Commitment to problem resolution.
- A demonstrated independent interest in technology.
- Polish or another language is an asset.
