The Role: Senior Engineer, Quality Engineering, APS
What You’ll Do:
Manage all quality related activities
Review process control plan for compliance and adequacy.
Involve in problem-solving real time to drive corrective actions and verify CAPA effectiveness to avoid recurrence by driving systemic fix, full proof in CAPA.
Handling of non-conforming products – Coordinate all on hold activities ensure no escapee to customer during quality issues. Work with production/Engineering/Product Manager to perform risk assessments for effective evaluation of non-conformance products, make recommendations and lead on disposition.
Timely response on customer requests and quality feedback.
Execute ad-hoc tasks and assignments as needed to support strategic and operational goals.
Handling of customer complaints
Be the key interface with customers in 8D response, customer request. Meet customer’s turnaround time or response time as factory Quality function.
Drive to reduce customer complaints to meet yearly objective/goals.
Coordinate customer visits/audits.
Define and develop quality criteria
Work with production, product management and/or customer to define or develop acceptance criteria for inspection or test.
Work with cross functional team to review, refine and enhance quality criteria, inspection method etc. on timely basis.
Documentation and procedure compliance
Establish, review and revise quality procedures to ensure updates on periodic basis.
Review compliance with the procedures through periodic audit to ensure it meets internal and external requirements.
Data Analysis and statistical Process control
Constant use of statistical techniques in data analysis during troubleshooting or problem solving.
Implement statistical process control for critical process parameters or product parameters – selection of charts, calculation of control limits, SPC rules, triggering rules and reaction guides.
Custodian for product critical parameter SPC monitoring charts.
Process control and audit
Periodically audit process control to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Proactively work with team and drive for continuous improvement to bridge the gap on process control.
Qualification Activities
Support qualification activities related to the product – new or change in process, design, materials, tooling etc.
Establish qualification requirements with production, product management and related department prior to qualification.
Review qualification data to ensure it meets internal and external requirements before granting approval. Prepare qualification package for customers if required.
Customer quality engineering activities
Act as primary quality contact for customer-related issues and inquiries.
Manage customer complaints, returns, and non-conformance investigations
Coordinate customer friendly report, failure analysis and resolution of customer quality concerns.
Ensure timely and effective communication with customers regarding quality status and actions.
Lead customer audits and support external quality assessments.
Build strong relationship with key customer quality representatives to foster trust and transparency.
Supervision and training
Supervise quality inspectors or technicians assigned on the products responsible.
Provide training and development to quality inspectors or technicians to ensure consistency and competency.
Establishes and promotes the maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Seek:
Minimum Degree holder in science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 6 years’ experience in manufacturing environment. Experience in quality engineering and customer quality engineering field is an added advantage.
Experience and knowledge in molding industry, understanding molding process and defects etc. is an added advantage.

Manufacturing and quality assurance
Statistical techniques and its application via Minitab
ISO 9001 / Quality Management System
FMEA, 8D problem solving, Gage capability study
