Senior Engineer, Quality Assurance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Independently drive QA activities for the assigned scrum team.
• Collaborate closely with developers to identify, analyze, and resolve root causes of defects.
• Design, enhance, and improve the productivity and reliability of automation test scripts.
• Drive QA process improvements within the scrum team.
• Provide support during production incidents, including issue reproduction, analysis, and debugging.
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members.
• Contribute to POCs and research initiatives as guided by Managers or Leads.
• Organize and facilitate requirement gathering and review workshops for medium to complex requirements.

Education & Experience

Minimum Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent)

Minimum Required Experience

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the technology / QA stream

Desirable

• Bachelor’s degree with exposure to enterprise-scale applications and Agile delivery models

• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills with minimal grammatical or pronunciation errors.
• Creates and delivers clear, organized presentations, especially in virtual team setups.
• Prior experience working with virtual / global teams is a plus.

Core Technical Skills

• Minimum 6 years of relevant technology experience in Quality Engineering.
• Strong understanding of manual testing, test design techniques, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience with  test automation frameworks and tools. E.g. Playwright, Selenium etc.
• Deep expertise in own discipline with working knowledge of related domains.
• Independently solves complex QA problems with minimal guidance.
• Works effectively across  distributed teams and multiple time zones.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to analyse business needs and validate solutions.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, or development skills as required.
• Ability to review code and provide meaningful feedback/comments.
