Trane is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as a Senior Product – Product Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate the design and manufacturing of our current & next line of exciting products. As a Senior product engineer, you will work closely with the cross functional teams in various locations of our business to build industry-relevant products that meet the required specifications for our global customers. The projects could be in the areas of Lifecycle/ Sustaining projects, Productivity, Q&R, NPD, Agile, NTP and others.

Where is the work:
Onsite: This position has been designated as an Onsite work schedule with work performed onsite 4 days each week.
What you will do:
Understand project requirements, collaborate with project owners, leaders & cross-functional teams across the globe for the delivery of projects, by adhering to standard processes, systems, and project management principles
Ensure the completion of project milestones/deliverables within committed Quality (Q), Delivery (D), Project cost (C) &Product cost (C) targets. Proficient in Project management.
Solve technical problems, identify solutions, participate in concept reviews, critical design reviews, and other technical discussions with the global team and handle multiple projects at the same time
Develop concepts, design/select & develop components along with suppliers, develop component specifications for structural component (metal, non-metal) and assemblies, DFMEA and test plan
Create and release engineering documentation using PLM & PDM software like ProE & Windchill. (Design, Drawings, Bill of material, and Specifications).
Co-ordinate with cross-functional team to implement design changes.
Collaborate with Lifecycle engineering team to fix engineering related issues.
What you will bring:
BE degree - master's in mechanical engineering / related specialization
5+ years on experience in component selection, system integration, concept development, design calculations, lifecycle engineering in the domain currently working.
Experience in product design, development process/phases; Hands on experience in DFMEA and test plan development. Exposure to prototype/engineering builds & testing.
Good Knowledge of metal & Non-metal component design, assy, Mfg process. Basics of Electrical system / components would be added advantage.
Basic knowledge in understanding material properties for materials selection considering application requirements.
Demonstrates ability to get to root cause and to take effective action to solve problems. Hands on experience with problem solving tools.
Demonstrates innovation & initiative approach at work, ability to develop new methods and approaches.·
Fosters effective teamwork where people work together to achieve common goals. A strong team player that can work with others.
Excellent communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to communicate ideas and results in a clear and concise manner

Skills Required
