Position Summary:
Responsible for the research and new product development of sterile filtration products (capsule, cartridge and disc) for bioprocess filtration market
Schedule, execute and support prototype build and testing, and follow good documentation techniques to accurately record and document results.
Identify, design and qualify advanced manufacturing equipment’s, design experiments to optimize process parameters, develop robust processes and perform process validation to release new products to manufacturing.
Perform defect analysis by implementing six sigma methodology and by utilizing polymer membrane science fundamentals.
Plan and/or prepare quality system documentation, standard operating procedures, specifications, and detailed drawings.
Manage stakeholder expectations at all stages of development stage and communicate results, conclusions, project status and issues in a timely, clear, and appropriate manner.
Work closely with the product and project managers to define new product specifications, establish timeline, and cost estimates.
Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements):
Must have a Chemical, Bioprocess, Polymer/Plastics/Materials Engineering Degree
Must have a deep understanding and hands on experience in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for new filter products.
Experience with sterile and virus filter products is a plus.
Basic understanding of polymeric membrane and its testing methods.
Must have a knowledge of testing and quality requirements of filter products.
Green and/or black belt sig sigma certification.
Proficiency in leading R&D projects from conception to release to manufacturing.
Outstanding communication and presentation (Chinese and English), capable of articulately translating complex data and ideas to a diverse audience.
