Responsibilities:
- ORUC QA Senior Engineer will work on ORU-Controller as part of a full RAN system supporting 4G/5G deployment, defining verification requirements and test plans, implementing test benches and tests, executing test plans and debugging issues on complete JMA solutions.
- Generate comprehensive test reports for internal and external consumption.
- Preparation/Verification of MOP/Documentation for the deployment team.
- collaborates with software/hardware R&D developers and project managers & responsible for the Lab QA setups.
- responsible for identifying tools support requirement for the different releases and follow-up.
- Reproduce the issues reported in the field and work with R&D to get it resolved.
- Customer deployment centric discussion with Development team & other test tools vendor for having a proper test coverage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer engineering, Communication Engineering or equivalent. Masters preferred.
- Proficient in LTE and/or 5G specifications and 5-8 year experience in cellular testing, preferably ORU-controller, M-plan and baseband/networking configuration.
- experience working with O-RAN radios, O-RU/O-DU platforms and management plane & fronthaul configurations.
- Able to debug issues independently. Good understanding of 3GPP (36/38 series) and O-RAN Alliance standards. Working experience with stack layers like NAS, RRC, PDCP , RLC, MAC, PHY is a plus.
- Proficient with cloud environment, Linux systems, kernel logs, device trees, and low-level debugging & familiar with python scripting/Robot framework exposure is a plus
- Familiar with Jira and Confluence, working of EMS/NMS & KPI, communication protocol between ORU-controller & Radios
- Experience with 4G/5G systems & 4G/5G UE simulators (Viavi or Simnovous)
- Familiar with Kubernetes & cloud-based RAN system
