  • Develop, review, and implement engineering best practices and Flowserve standards; identify gaps in existing standards.
  • Direct modifications to programs, methods, and designs to resolve technical issues and meet customer requirements.
  • Work closely with Product & Engineering Specialists, Product Management, and Corporate Technology to provide solutions for complex pump-related problems.
  • Coordinate with Design Engineers to investigate and resolve shop floor issues related to design or quality; document findings, recommend corrective actions, and support implementation of cost‑effective solutions.
  • Produce engineering designs, drawings, and documentation using CAD tools.
  • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Provide technical support to both internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all engineering deliverables and adherence to project documentation timelines.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and customer satisfaction in engineering documentation packages.
  • Support proposal activities by conducting pre‑engineering assessments, defining technical scope, evaluating risks, and supporting equipment selection.
  • Review project specifications from the order transfer file to ensure compliance.
  • Perform detailed mechanical design work including layouts, routine engineering analysis, calculations, and simulations.
  • Act as the primary technical interface for customers and internal teams, providing clarification on project requirements.
  • Coordinate Order Engineering resources and oversee activities across multiple projects.
  • Support supply chain teams by reviewing vendor and buy‑out drawings.
  • Provide production support by addressing specification deviations, clarifications, and other engineering needs on the shop floor.
  • Offer technical guidance during commissioning and warranty phases when required.
  • Review complete technical documentation packages to verify product performance against customer requirements and recommend modifications as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the centrifugal pump industry.
  • Proficiency in Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) and 3D design tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and computer skills.
  • Excellent planning, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Solid understanding of engineering documentation, drafting standards, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing.
  • Strong communication skills in English—both written and verbal—with professional business etiquette.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global and cross‑functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to analyze complex engineering problems, collect data, and draw logical conclusions.
